British Army 'Strike Op' Iraq, Bronze

This is a striking centrepiece which depicts a modern day British Army Infantry fire team preparing to assault a building at night in Iraq. Each of the soldiers are designed to compliment each other. The fire team commander is standing with a step ladder and Underslung Grenade Launcher fitted to his SA80 rifle and his point man is crouching to his front with SA80 and Night Viewing Device. Behind the third figure is covering to the right and carries a Light Support Weapon which is capable of providing considerable suppressing fire. Finally the rear cover man carries a Minimi light machine gun.

The information has been kindly provided to us on tour by the 2nd Bn The Royal Anglian Regiment for which we are very grateful and we are presently making a sterling silver mess tablepiece to commemorate the Battalion's numerous Tours of Duty in Iraq.
